Upgrade Your Session With Cupping!

Cupping Massage on a woman

You can customize any service on the menu to include cupping on areas that may need extra attention or focus.  Or book a full Cupping service witch includes a great deal more cupping techniques blended with massage.

We offer therapy with two types of cups to help fully utilize pulling and stretching your muscles and improving blood flow!  When you choose to upgrade your massage session with cupping you will still receive your full massage, however, cupping will heavily used and integrated throughout your service.

Here at Deep Tissue we integrate two different types of cupping techniques.  The first includes use of silicone cups, which gently pull the muscle and underlying structures into the cup and allows the therapist to glide along the muscle tract.  This is a manual technique that gently pulls the muscle up and strips the fascia, tendons and muscle.  This releases tension and allows your tissues to relax and realign themselves.

The second type of cupping uses hard plastic cups which are designed to pull blood into the muscle layer.  These cups are placed in areas of severe tension and/or fluid stagnation and are left on the same spot for 5-10 minutes (max time left on muscle tissue is 15 minutes when appropriate).  This allows the body to naturally stimulate your lymphatic system and bring more fluid and nutrients into the cupped muscle.

Cupping therapy is an ancient alternative therapy that has continued to be used by practitioners today.  It was used by ancient Chinese, Greek, Arabic and Hindu peoples to help treat various health ailments.  The two cupping modalities offered pull a lot of blood into the treated tissues and can be very detoxing and powerful.  People have reported relief of pain, tension, fatigue and weakness after treatment.
